Nantahala Talc and Limestone produces crushed stone aggregate for asphalt and concrete production. Besides the company's mining enterprise Nantahala Talc and Marble is also known for its conservation effort: Mr. Ferebee, a past owner and president of the quarry purchased 6,000 acres in the Nantahala Gorge and donated this land to the "people of the United States" in 1970. The quarry is proud to support the World Championships by donating use of its parking lot to the event for the weekend.
